GulfCare Pharmacy was founded in 2018 by Dr. Brad Lahr, PharmD, with a vision to change what community pharmacy could be. After years working in both independent and chain settings, Brad saw a gap in care, especially for patients needing personalized solutions like compounded medications and hormone therapy. He launched GulfCare with one core belief: patients deserve time, attention, and custom care that fits their life, not just their prescription.
Within just a few years, GulfCare became more than a pharmacy. It earned a reputation as a trusted partner to local physicians, a go-to for difficult-to-fill medications, and one of the few compounding pharmacies in the region offering collaborative hormone therapy support.
The pharmacy’s commitment to quality and community has earned it recognition from leading organizations. Our Pharmacist
Brad Lahr, PharmD is the founder and lead pharmacist of GulfCare Pharmacy. A graduate of LECOM Bradenton, Brad earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2013 and began his career at CVS before joining the team at Midway Pharmacy. It was there that he developed his expertise in compounding, gaining hands-on experience that would later inspire him to open his own practice.
In 2018, Brad launched GulfCare Pharmacy with a focus on non-sterile compounding and a mission to deliver truly individualized care. He works closely with physicians and patients to create customized medications that align with each person’s health goals and clinical needs.
Brad remains deeply committed to serving the community with pharmacy care that’s thoughtful, personalized, and accessible. Outside of the pharmacy, he enjoys time with his wife and their two young children.
